Vacuum leakage and PCV

Vacuum leakage and PCV
Hi, I am new to this forum and fairly ignorant about mechanics.
I have a P0172 alert on the OBD, wich is clearly caused by some leaks on various hoses (vacuum). I have already changed some broken ones and will change all of them in the future as they all die one after the other.
Now my P0172 takes longer to come back. At the same time, while looking at this forum, it seems the car has the symptoms of having a faulty PCV. The hose connecting the manifold (located on the passenger side) and "disapearing" behind the timing belt has been replaced with a Volvo one.
Question, could a faulty PCV create a leakage?
Also, I have read it was fairly easy for a DIY to replace it, could someone indicate me where I could find a step by step documentation about it (preferably with pictures)
Tks,
fpisvin
