I was chagrined to say the least to find out on my 06 that the two power outlets aren't powered with the ignition off. In this day and age of gadgets galore, I simply can't believe Volvo didn't see it fit to have at least one powered outlet so that charging can take place with the car off. I mean, my Taurus has not one, but TWO powered outlets.

Is this something peculiar to just my model year, or is it a V70 issue, or do all Volvos have this quirk? I've tried to think of a good work around but am coming up short. Install a new outlet somewhere and wire it hot?

What's everyone else done?
