Default Rear Seatbelt Removal?

So the mechanism on the rear drivers side if our 2000 V70 jammed. We folded down the rear seats and the drivers side portion locked up so it was stuck in the folded position. We were able to pull off the bolster and unbolt the seatbelt from the floor to get the rear seat back in the upright position but the seatbelt mechanism is still jammed. How do you remove the mechanism from the rear seat? Googled it and apparently its a common problem but nobody specifies how to remove the mechanism, most folks get luck and it releases one you remove the bolt from the floor and give it slack. I'm having no such luck.

My rear seat belts use to get stuck in my sedan. I would give it a little slack, pushed the cusion in and it would release. Maybe you can force some slack to it and it will unlock.

Not sure if there is a cure on Matt's site.

Default same problem

Hi guys,
I have exactly the same issue. Already unbolted the belt at the bottom, so the rear seat is in upright position again, part one is solved. Now the belt is stil stuck, definitely need to replace this part. It is completely stuck, no movement whatsoever. can't pull it out, can't feed anymore to retract. I was also looking for dissambly steps to replace the rear seat (2/3 part) belt.

Experience / help is very welcome.
Thanks from a Volvo enthusiast (V70 2006).
Peter.
