Rear Suspension Noise

I have a '98 V70 10v with 115,000 miles on the clock. Over the last few months the rear suspension has been making a kind of "boing" spring popping noise. Everything on the car feels alright and the ride is fine but this noise is getting worse, itmight be my imagination but it seems to mainly do it when I am going 'round a right hand bend.
I did have an accident in the car around the time the noise started, someone drove into the front drivers side wing, there was hardly any damage, but could this have somehow caused the proplem?
Does anyone have any ideas?
