Default Replacing AC switch on Console Tech?

Is it easy to replace a damaged A/C (manual/automatic) switch on the center console? I understand you pop off the pen holder then undo a couple of screws to get to the climate control unit. Do you have to remove the whole climate control unit to access this button?

Thanks.

Which button just the A/C one? The 2001 and newer cars are a pain to get the module out. But if it is just the A/C push buttom I think the cover just pops off.

it's not too bad a job, I've just had mine out to replace the bulbs, just two torx screws behind the pen holder and then considerable force to pull the ccm downwards away from the radio. Watch how you put the torx screws back, if you drop them they are lost ( I lost one!!!)
good luck les k
