Default Should the Winter/Sport console switch be backlit?

I'm engaged in project "Let There Be Light" with my new 850R wagon I pulled the dashpad yesterday and replaced the bulbs in my instrument cluster and they now all work. Yay! There's great instructions on here for that and it was a relatively easy job.

I also replaced two of the small white bulbs in my TRAC and rear foglight switches, which weren't lit. My Winter/Sport button also does not backlight. The little orange light works but there's no backlighting for the letters, which seems odd since every other switch is lit.

I pulled the switch and the plug and didn't see any bulbs like on the other switches. So should this thing be lit? If so, do I need to replace the whole thing or are the bulbs inside? Before I pry it apart or buy a new switch I'd like to know. Thanks!

All the other switches are so I'm pretty sure it should be. I went out to try and see but it's just too light outside right now to see for sure.

Thanks. Let me know if you can get out there tonight. I'm guessing yes also but I'd hate to spend $$$ on a switch and find out I didn't have to!

No. But the switch positions have lights, orange and green.

Thanks rspi. I've got the orange but not the green so my switch is toast anyway. BTW, I love your how-to videos, thank you! Keep them coming. Very useful stuff.
