Default Rims from other models on V70?

I'm looking for some rims to mount winter tires on for my 2000 V70. With a look through the classified I've found a lot of OEM rims from various models.

Does anyone have a way to cross-reference what will fit my car? In particular, I'm wondering if rims from a 960 will fit?

Thanks!

Hello, I feel the best shot you have is to ask at a Volvo dealer or Volvo independent mechanic.
It's been my experience that the "master cross reference" book is highly classified info-at least at custom wheel shops on my side of the Atlantic. Also, those shops don't mind using shims (rings and hub) to fit any particular application. Translation: They won't be forthcoming with the complete truth.
If the seller isn't too far away you can physically try them on. When the wheels are face down you can eyeball the offset. If it's close AND the old wheel clears your brake caliper, you're good. That's what I did when I got my snows.
If it's a good deal and there's rubber on the rims take all 4 to a garage and pay the bit to have them mounted for a trial. How much could they ask? If the first one is a no-go they put you back together for a fiver and you bring them back to the guys house. Take him along for the ride and don't give him any money until they fitted on. Kira

I have seen 960 wheels run on Turbo 850's all the time. There was a yellow T-5R with '96 960 wheels on it. Matter of fact, I have run my 960 wheels on my T-5R. As long as they are Volvo wheels from the mid to late 90's you should be good.

Ah, but does the AWD make a difference?

I found a set of 4 of these today at the local "junque" yard. $35 each gets me the wheel without the tire so the set of 4 would be $140. Then I could go and find some Blizzaks or equivalent, I suppose.

Anybody know if they'll transfer to a Cross Country?
