Hello, My 1999 had bars (run crossways to car's centerline) which clamped onto the rails (which ran the length of the car-Eurorails was their name). My bars clamped directly onto my 2002's rails. My bars came with a security torx handle which turned a screw which tightened the bars' clamps onto the rails. Yours should work too IF they're the same hardware. The trouble with posts like this is that nobody knows what hardware is original and which is aftermarket. I assume you're shopping for these bars and can't simply try them out. I'd bet they fit because my bars clamped easily to "thick" or "thin" roof rails. How much are they asking? Is it a Craigslist sale? Kira
