I own a 2005 V70. I have roof rails installed, but I prefer the car without them. I know how to get the rails off but I think I neednew moulding strip that clip along the top of the car and down over the windscreen. (Obviously one piece)

Can anyone shed some light on the cost of these strips (do they come painted?) and work involved?

You could probably get about $500 or more for your roof rails. Try to find somebody who wants them and then make a trade and get some money on the exchange. I'm not sure what's involved with doing them on the newer models, but I put them on my 98 and it was very easy.
