Default S60R 18" to 17" wheel trade

I've had my S60R now for about a year with the factory 'pegasus' (stock) 18" wheel upgrade and it's driving me nuts. The turning radius is cut a bit short and the rubbing under the wheel carriage when turning into a tight space makes me (and my wife) cringe every time. I'm looking to downgrade to the 17" wheels.

Is anyone interested in trading? I know I could probably sell the 18" wheels outright and get the 17" - and probably make a bit on it. But, honestly, it's not about the profit, it's really just about being able to really enjoy the car. This is the only thing on this car that urks me. Everything else about the car is amazing.

Where are you located? I have 17" Canisto's (original on 99-03ish C70's) on my 02 S60.

i'm in connecticut. the R wheels are different than the regular s60 wheels though. the brakes are larger, so the diameter of the wheels for the R are different.

I've got a set of 17" Amalthea's off a T5. They fit over my R brakes fine. Just this spring I had them stripped, straightened, lips redone, and powder coated matte black. They look great with the new style centercaps. If you're interested let me know. Here are some pics:

On a related point probably not worthy of a new thread, I'm considering buying a set of wheels and snow tires. Original equipment is 17" wheels. I'd like to go to 16" wheels and a 'taller' profile snow tire for several reasons, not the least of which is how many pot oholes our roads here get as winter draws to a close.
e
Will 16" wheels fit on a V70 that came from the factory with optional 17" wheels? I'm not planning to change rotors or speedo drive, either.

Thanks

Yes and No.

Not any 16" steelie will fit, just make sure you have enough offset to clear the brakes. I ran 16" OEM Volvo steelies with 205/55/16 Michelin Arctic Alpin tires. All the traction I ever needed for a MN winter. Rolling diameter is slightly smaller than stock by it's only off 1.1mph, so at 60mph you'll really only be going 58.9mph. Not noticeable.

Oh man, I got a 2001 V70 T5 and 16" wheels that I really don't like. I've been trolling around NYC (I live there) for Pegasus 17" or 18" but can't find them anywhere.

I can't even find a set of used Amaltheas nor Pegasus.

What do you want for your set bro, I don't mind driving up to Connecticut to get them if I can get a good deal.

I thought about buying a second set to do in the black but the only ones worthy of the project were on e-bay, new, for around $400/each. For the cost on one wheel I had mine completely redone.
