Serpentine belt
I am having a hard time getting the Alt, Compressor, Power steering pump and idler pulley lined up. The set up keeps throwing the belt. I need a step by step and maybe pictures. I have a Chiltons manual but it does not show very much.
Multi rib belts are a one shot deal.
If you don't get it on right the first time, as soon as you start the car the belt is (basicly) destroyed.
So, if it's throwing the belt off, it's time for a new belt.
This was a lesson people quickly learn't with the buick 3.8 v6
EDIT, for pictures etc, have a look at the thread on timing belt replacement (850 section) it may have the pics/info you seek....
