Default SRS Warning/Light

My SRS light is on after my fuel pump replacement because, like a good fellow, I turned on the car to check my work while the rear seats were out of the car. Naturally, with the rear seats out and the SRS connectors disconnected it set a code.

I did a search on this on the forum and found conflicting info.

Some said the light would go off after a certain number of on/off key cycles. It has been a week of a lot of on/off cycles, the light is still on so I'm starting to disbelieve this info.

Others said it had to be reset with a code reader with SRS ability, which sounds about right as far as my experience with Volvos go.

Is this second piece of information correct, is a visit to my Volvo dealer in my future to get the light and warning to go away?

Thanks,
Ron

Default RE: SRS Warning/Light

Unfortunately it does require a code reader with SRS capability.
