Default Stereo System Question (yes...another one)

I'm sorry, theres probably tons of these threads but I just replaced my car battery I guess its been cold out and I haven't started it much.

I have the OFF appearing on my screen and I'm just wondering if there is any way of getting around waiting two hours? And if there isn't will leaving the key in accessory position waste my battery for two hours?

it is easy to slide the unit out to see if the radio code is written on the unit. check there for the code first, or your owners manual

Code will display on the screen when it wants, but I would leave the charger on.
