Default Struts and Shocks

Hey, I'm new to the forum and a new (well used) Volvo owner. I just bought a 98 V70 awd with about 140K but I'm going to need some new struts and shocks. Should I stay factory or go aftermarket? Suggestions? Thanks a lot.

What are you looking to do with the car? If you want the car to handle better or get lowering springs then kyb would be a good choice. But it will ride more stiff than a stock set up.

I still have the originals on all three of my cars and one has 175K on it. When I do change any of them I will use Billstein Touring from fcpgroton. I do get some clunking from the front of my 98 V70, but it's not that bad so I haven't done anything about it yet.

Lowering is something I've considered, but if I do then I'll wait it out. If I do lower it, where should I go for springs?
If I don't any other thoughts??? And no, I won't lift it.... but it would be hilarious.
