Default tail lights stay on

Tail lights stay on when 2000 v70 is turned off. Pressing brake pedal a few times shuts them down. ABS module? Any ideas. About had it with the constant crap on this freakin car after the warranty expired.

Turning the car on and off does it as well. Screwing with the headlamp switch doesn't do anything. I don't know. It's strange. We hit a deer a few weeks ago and I replaced the headlight assembly(what a ripoff). That's when the problem started. There was no other damage to the car other than some deer juice and a bent hood. Deer was not so lucky.

Really weird.
I would start checking for chaffed wires for the headlight.

OK, No damage to wiring. Lights came on during a wind gust last night. I went out and pressed the brake pedal down and they sut off. Closed the car door and they came back on. I'm thinking brake switch.

The brake light switch is adjustable try adjusting it.
Push the pedal down and push the back of the switch towards the pedal area and you should feel it click and move.

Alright, I finally got under the dash during the day time. I gave it a try and we will see how it responds tomorrow.
