Default Throttle position sensor

Hi, does anyone know where the TPS is on my 2000 V70 T5. Is it an easy change? Thanks.

A throttle position sensor (TPS) is a sensor used to monitor the position of the throttle in an intercombustion engine . The sensor is usually located on the butterfly spindle so that it can directly monitor the position of the throttle valve butterfly.
The sensor is usually a potentionmeter , and therefore provides a variable resistance dependent upon the position of the valve (and hence throttle position).
The sensor signal is used by the (ECU) as an input to its control system. The ignition timing and fuel injection timing (and potentially other parameters) are altered depending upon the position of the throttle, and also depending on the rate of change of that position. For example, in fuel injected engines, in order to avoid stalling, extra fuel may be injected if the throttle is opened rapidly (mimicking the accelerator pump of carburetor systems).

Thanks. I know what it is, I want to know where it is, and if it's easy to change.

I think it's integrated into the throttle body, not replacable. Do google search for volvo electronic throttle module. Xemodex will fix it for $500 canadian.

Default accelerator pedal sensor or throttle position sensor

1999 V70 AWD T5 B5254T
This may be what you are looking for.... for the TPS issues... I was getting a P0121 fault code and an open in full throttle... could only go 20 mph... 1999 on up uses this as the throttle position sensor... still unclear about the TPS listed for the car on the Throttle body... but my fix is this gas pedal sensor... just like the older cars had directly on the motor... now put inside the car with no cables to the engine.

Found at http://www.theautopartsshop.com/auto...al-sensor.html
for about $100
