Transfer Case/ Drive Saft Questions?
Sadly, I have a 2000 XC Wagon. Just had the transfer case replaced ( and the timing belt, and an axel, and a broken sway bar, and a hub recently.........list goes on). Anyhow, when I piked it up from the transfer case job the mechanic asked me if my car normally makes a thumping sound in reverse. Nope, never heard it before. I didn't think anything of it.
Put it in reverse a few times today, it goes into gear just fine, backs up about 7-10 feet and then "THUMP". It will then proceed on as if nothing happens. IS this my drive shaft? Possible that something happened to it in the shop, as it didn't have an issue before? Related, or just another bad concidence?
If it's drive shaft, what are my options?

Thanks you for replying.....it's going back to it's second home, the garage. Sigh......If it is the drive shaft, I ahve been tooling around this website, looks like I can have it removed? I have JUST put over 3K into this vehicle. There is no way I can cough up more.
I love this car, but she is stressing me out! NEver should have traded in the 850. What the hell was I thinking?
