Hi,
I have a 98 V70R AWD. I bought a fluid change kit from IPD. I also bought a case of Mobil 3309 fluid. Reading the instructions from IPD it appears as if the 98 should have DEX III. Is this right? Am I OK with the 3309 or did I blow big bucks for nothing?

This transmission uses DEX III, not the 3309. IPD said look at the dip-stick and it will say "special oil required" This car did not have that and the owner's manual stated DEX III.

 

I'm sure you'll be able to find someone on here to buy your 3309 from you.

 

Im not positive if it will work Contact Modil and ask them if it will work in the transmission.
