Had the codes pulled for my transmission."Lock-up fucntion slipping or not engaged" Is this going to be just wear and tear only resolved by a new tranny? Symptoms are the standard crappy tranny problems, slipping, delays into gears and shift flares.

In the transmission.
A soleniod might have gotten stuck.
Does it shift better since it was reset?

 

Not really. It still plays up when it gets hot. Sometimes when it starts to get bad it shifts a little better manually, but not much.

 

Sounds like there is a problem inside.
I would drive it till it dies.

 

Did you ever get this problem sufficiently solved? I also have 2001 V70 T5 wagon that hitches and clunks when I decelerate. The dealer can't seem to figure it out. I have an extended warranty that is about to run out. They won't pay if the dealer can't prove a failure. Really getting nervous about this. Your feedback is appreciated.

 

Hi, I think uncle is os at the moment....so i dont think he solved his problem.
You need to get your tranny to throw a code .
I would kill the thing and hope it throws a code and then take it to the dealer..
I know it sounds harsh...but this i think would be the only way.
get them to print the code and associated problems out and stick it
to them.
I have the same issue...only when the car gets really hot..
i change my fluid out every 20k km and i will drive it till it drops out.
