Default Tyre size?

Hi all

I will need to change tyres in the near future so I thought I better start asking some questions.

Currently the car has some Conti Sport Contact 2's on the back and Sport Contact in front. I will have to change all 4 and so far the Conti's have been good to me so I will more than likely go with either some SC 2 or 3. The question is what size. As far as I know the standard size is 215/55 R16, but mine is 205/55 R16. Was the previous owner just cheap? how does this affect handling, comfort, durability, mpg?

I don't know what these mags are called, but this is how they look ... http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index...&album=467

Thanks.

Default RE: Tyre size?

I'M NO EXPERT, BUT IT WOULD SEEM THAT THE TIRE YOU HAVE WOULD DECREASE YOUR FUEL MILEAGE.
SMALLER TIRE(IN DIAMETER ) = HIGHER R.P.M. = LOWER M.P.G.
WHETHER OR NOT ONE SIZE WOULD MATTER THAT MUCH I DON'T KNOW
LOOK FOR MANUFACTURERS TIRE RECOMMENDATION ON INSIDE OF DOOR PILLAR?
