Default Tyres for V70 T5

Hi there

Anyone out there have any suggestions as to what tyres that I should shoe my V70 T5 with. Bought it with Wanli s1099 tyres but believe that I should put some better ones on her. Goodyear Eagle GSD3 or 2 have been suggested. Have come across some Falkens. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Baldrick

I have seen most cars with either michelin or Kuhmo tires.IMO they would be the best to go with one of the 2 I suggested.

Default RE: Tyres for V70 T5

I use Good Year Eagle F1 GS D3 tyres on my 2000MY V70N T5. I run 225/45 ZR17 tyres and find them tremendous tyres - relatively cheap, and long-lasting whilst still providing good grip in the dry. In the wet, they are extremely good; better than any other tyre I have used, including Michelin Pilot, Pirelli P Zero Yokohama AVS Sport etc.. which I have used on previous cars, including Ford RS Cosworths and 4wd Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru Imprezas.

I am a serving police officer in the UK, and all our road policing cars (also V70 and S60) are shod with the GS D3 tyre - as ringing an endorsement as I know.

The only other tyre which comes close, at the price, are the Toyo Proxes T1-S, but the Eagle F1 gets my vote.
