Uh-oh! lots of smoke from tail
I took my 98 V70 in 2 weeks ago because of some smoke from the tailpipe along with a stalling problem. They replaced my master air flow? and told me that should do it. Well, now I am getting ALOT of smoke - bluish-gray - from the tailpipe - not good huh?
What is the deal? I am not seeing a drop in oil pressure or any warning lights, but there is definitely too much smoke coming out my tailpipe.
What do you think is up, tech, and am I in for a big bill? (just paid over $1500 for new ABS and other suspension problems plus the master air flow thing...)

Just another thought? Was the "Master air flow" that was replaced NEW???? Sometimes "mechanics" will pick a part up from the scrap merchant, that's worse than the part that needs to be replaced!
bluish-gray smoke is oil. Tech's suggestion is probably in the ballpark. Though a plugged PCV system typically results in massive oil leaks as the crankcase builds pressure, unless the return to the block is plugged on the oil trap.
Check the fresh air hose from the air mass meter (master air flow as it was referred to in the OP) at the turbo charger inlet for a lot of oil inside and on turbine. If you find excessive oil there it is the oil trap plugged up. Then I suggest that you buy a "10 minute motor flush" and put some of it into the PCV hose that goes from under the spark plug cover down to the PCV oil trap. Put the rest into the crankcase and let the car idle for 15 - 20 minutes. Then drain oil & change filter.
If not it is probably time for a rebuild of the turbo.
