Default V70 98 02 System codes, Help needed

Hi,

I'm a DIY guy but just got into checking the car myself.
I have an engine check light since I got the car (V70 1998 2.4L) and the garage is not of much help (not much Volvo where I am) the car seems to run "fine" though.

I'm getting the following codes :
P0172 GENERIC System Too Rich (Bank 1)
P0140 GENERIC 02 Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
P0136 GENERIC 02 Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
P0133 GENERIC 02 Circuit Slow ResPonse (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

I've read about the 2 corner tubing that rot and possible leak in the vaccum system that might? cause similar problem.
Is there a way to check for vaccum leak?
What should I check first?
And if I need to change the 02 sensor(s) what should I know (there seems to be many many compatible sensors)

Thx in advance for your help and advice.

Fred

PS. On a side note, is the ABS upgrade worth it for my ODB2 Innova 3130 reader at 100$ (ABS and Tracs light are on)

Yes you could do a pressure test. IPD has a write up on what to build and the procedures on their forum on Swedespeed. O2 sensors do go bad or get dirty, my car when the front sensor went bad showed lower MPG and the CEL. Think the different sensors relate to the pigtail/plug and not a difference in the unit. Inspect each sensor/plug/ and related wiring for corrosion or breaks. If you search each code, it will give your more results.

The ABS & TRACS light most likely would be the ABS module. Tech has a writeup floating around which basically involves opening the unit up and resoldering most of the pins on the board. Probably half a dozen good write ups floating on the internet w/ some including photos(recall a few on on turbobricks, volvospeed, volvoforums.org.uk). Easier still to have yours rebuilt or buy a rebuilt unit.

Thx for the info, I'm not sure I understand everything but I'll continue to dig and search on those site for the procedure.
