Default V70 Check Engine Light

Got the Check Engine Light. Still runs like a champ. Autozone read the code as P0410, which is a secondary air injection system fault.

What is this? How much is it gonna cost me!?

Thanks!

It is expensive to fix.
The Air pump directs hot air from the exhaust when the car is cold into the air filter box to help the car warm up quicker.
The pump is quite pricey. I believe between $300.00 to $400.00.
Plus you should replace the relay and Valve as well.

Tech,

Thanks for the quick response! Performance is fine. Will not fixing this cause other problems?

It will mainly keep the check engine light on all the time.

I bought an air pump and relay used from Erie Auto Parts. That was about 2.5 years ago and my CEL has not come back on. I think they even give a lifetime warranty so if it goes bad they will send you another one.
