Default V70 Electrics

Good morning/evening all..

As a former 260GLE and 740GLE turbo (both wagons) I am now the fairly happy owner of a v70 (1998 20V).

The car is great, which is more than I can say for the electrics![:@]

My main lightswitch failed about 1 day after I bought the car and I have a new switch on its way from the dealer but I understand that this might also be a relay issue. Anyone else have the same problem? That is.. the switch works intermittently (if at all) and has to be physically jiggled and turned to get any response at all.

Also, the drivers door switch for the courtesy lights and warning chime is driving me insane! It will very often not switch off when you close the door but, if you open the door and leave it fully open for a few moments and close it again, the switch works UNTIL you hit a road bump, at which point it switches back on with lights, chimes and the whole 9 yards!!! Help! Do I need to adjust the switch (which I understand is in the door latch) or replace it? If so, how do I go about getting at the darn thing.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Default RE: V70 Electrics

The headlight switch should be under a recall. The other problem is most likely a bad door latch assembly.
