V70 Knocking noise from front left
Hi,
I have V70 (2000 new shape) and it has developed a knocking noise that comes from the front left wheel area. It is fine on a flat road but anything a little bumpy and it knocks. I have taken it into a garage and they checked the suspension/shocks etc and all was okay apart from a top rubber mount and two other smaller ones that were worn. These where replaced but although it is better the knocking is still there and they do not seem to know or find what is the cause (I no longer use the main dealer as they were useless). I have also now noticed a slight wurring noise when cornering.
Any help or advice as to what could be causing the knocking is most appreciated. It doesnt affect the ride but is just so annoying now.

RE: V70 Knocking noise from front left
Hi,
The front sways were changed earlier this year due to a slight knock which then was gone after the fitting of new ones. The car has recently been fitted with a new set of tyres so that would explain the faint noise.
When I took the car in I wondered if it was the sway bars again but they checked and said they are fine and could only find the top rubber mount had broken and 2 other small rubber joints. They checked suspension & shock and all checks out okay.
