Hi

Can anybody help. I have just bought a volvo alloy wheel to have as a 'proper spare wheel' as I don't like the tempary steel one that comes with the car.

The trouble is, it won't seem to fit into the wheel well in the boot, it seems to big now! the wheel well does not seem deep enough.

Has anyone else experienced this?

It's made to hold a compact spare. Not much you can do about it

People have done it but the floor doesn't sit flat, and you still have to remove the foam "bumpers" inside the spare storage well.

 

Just sharing information:
I have a 2004, 2wd, N/A with 16" wheels.
I have a full size spare in my storage well. Needed to remove some / all of the foam blocks and removed the handy strorage tray. My floor does fit flat.

I might remove the foam and give it another try, but mine has the 17" alloys so I guess it will be a sqeeze.
