Default V70 spark plug change

I got a 2003 V70 2.4T , about 44k, and I am thinking to change the spark plugs,
one question I have is: do I have to move the black tub on top of the engine cover? is there any thread about the details?
2nd question: why Volvo makes things so hard when it comes to regular maintainance, I know SAAB is well know of that , may be it is the Sweden brand
appreciate any helps!

Yes you have to remove the Black cover to gain access to the Plugs. Once the cover is off you will need to remove the Coils on each cylinder then the plugs.

Thank Tech.
I referred to the black pipe runs on top of the Cylinder cover, which block one of the screww of the cover, the pipe connects to the bottom of radiator and back of engine, I dont know if it is the coolant line or what, there are two screws hold the pipe, but at both end, there are screwed clampers, which the access to those screw are blocked by something.

I figured I will need to remove the pipe, but wondered what it is, and by exame the connections, I got the original comment that dont seem volvo engineer really though out to make it easier for maintainance (compare to some Janpanese's model).

any insight is appreciated,

btw, any recommendation on repair manual? I have Bentley manual for my BMW, but they dont have one for latest volvo model...

thanks
shu

A program for your computer called Vadis. As close to a manual as you can get.

Loosen the screws for the Pipe and push the pipe to the side.
The pipe goes from the intercooler to the Turbo.
You can remove it.
