V70 Vibrations
I have recently purchased a 2005 V70 2.4L and Iexperience some vibrations coming to the steering wheel and driver seat while in idle which it is amplified indrive mode. It feels like the powertrain isolation (engine mounts) is faulty.I am wondering if anybodycan give some idea where to check for the root cause.
Thanks,
Valu

Sorry for the absence, I was watching the Patriots game.
What RPM is the idle? Maybe to low.
Does it clunk, going from forward to reverse back to forward?
Do you feel the enginelift and dropif you givea littlegas with the brake on, in forward or reverse? Motor mount.

These 5 cylinder engines don't idle like many other cars. They vibrate a little ( or buzz as it feels to me) Since you bought it recently it should be under warranty, Take it back to the dealer for them to check out If the dealer says the mounts and bushings are ok ,tell the dealer to look closely at the exhaust system, Someone may have run over a curb and or other object in the road which can bend the exhaust system to where it contacts the chassis and creates vibration.
Thank you for your replies.
The weird think about this vibration is that is showing up after 20-25 minutes of driving and is affecting not only the idle but all the RPM range up to about 2,000. The ride is simply becoming very rough. I wll go to the dealer and ask to check all the rubber elements and the exhaust as recommended in this forum.
Thanks,
Valu
