All the 850 engines will interchange, as far as I know, but very few of them would be LPT models (I assume yours is). I think 1997 was the first year for the LPT. 1999 and up are off-limits. Where are you located? I have a couple of decent engines. I could find running 850's at $500 a pop for a long time, and eventually I had to stop myself from buying them.
If you wanted to use your head on another short block, that might give you the proper compression ratio for LPT on an engine that was originally not turbo, or at least be a step in the right direction. I am not sure anybody here would know for sure.
