G'day from New Zealand. I have a 99 Volvo V70XC 2.4 auto with 160 000 km. - 100 000 miles . I recently bought the car with Engine warning light on and small starting problem. The car came up with the following codes;

644a Camshaft control
6440 Reset Valve Camshaft
6800 Turbo control valve
2810 front O2 sensor heating B1
2a2a rear sensor heating B1

The performance of the car seems fine the issue is at start. The car will turn over catch for a second then die, a restart it will run rough for 5 second then is fine. This problem only occurs when car is from cold.

Volvo dealers are thin on the ground and the nearest is 200 miles away and is pretty useless as they do a grab bag of European cars with no real specialism in Volvo. Is the most likely source of issue the Camshaft reset valve? I won't be doing the work myself ( if I muck it up its expensive to get it to a dealer) however a skilled mechanic will do the job I just need to find some background for him thanks Rory
