Hey all new here, I have a baffling issue with the fuel pressure. I have zero fuel pressure at the rail but the pump is turning on and cycling like it should. I also bench tested the fuel pump and it is working properly. Was thinking maybe the pump is weak? It does get a little fuel to the rail if you push the valve at the end of it but it will not build pressure. I do have a pressure gauge hooked to it but it stays at zero. What else would prevent it from getting to the rail? Don't know what else to check

1998 and earlier have a fuel return line; 1999 and later don't (it's effectively in the tank).

Which means it has the returnless (so-called) fuel system; much more difficult to diagnose I'm afraid.

Plus you have an XC; have you dropped the tank as yet?
