I have a 2001 V70 T5 and passenger's side view mirror courtesy light (below the mirror) is not working. Does anyone know how to replace the bulb?

The light assembly comes out.
If you look behind the glass with a flashlight you should see the tab that releases the light assembly.

 

All you have to do is put a Butter Knife under the Mirror towards the outside of the mirror and push it toward the front of the mirror. This releases the tab that holds the light fixture in and it will fall down. Just unscrew light socket and replace bulb and it pops right back in!

 

If you tilt the mirror all the way out with your fingers, pull the mirror off with gentle force, you can get to the tab easier that way as well.
