Default Volvo workshop V's My Mechanic

Hi Guys,
I'm going to repair a turbo return line oil leak, do i need to go to a volvo dealer for this
or can my local motor mechanic do this work.
I would like to look after the small guy, but dont want to put the car at risk of further problem's any advise would be great..
Thanks
Jamie..

I've done it myself, which leads me to believe your non Volvo mechanic can handle the job. You have replace the gasket where the line comes out of the turbo and the O ring where the line goes into the block. It's a metal hose so it's a little hard to get it into the block and in place on the turbo at the same time. Also a tight squeeze on the turbo. The two gaskets only costs about $10.
