Exclamation Weird oil pressure problem

The oil pressure on my V70 T5 starts fine and then falls off, causing the warning message to trigger. The dealer has replaced pretty much everything but it keeps on happening. We're all scratching our heads except for Volvo Galactic HQ who say the dealer has run out of options so the engine must be in some way completely buggered. Even the dealer, who would stand to pick up a tidy sum, says this is rubbish - there's nothing wrong apart from the drop in oil pressure.

Here's the sequence of events:

New cam belt at 100,000 miles
Heavy snow and cold temperatures (-13C) prevent us from driving for the next week or so
Less than 200 miles later the oil pressure warning comes on
The dealer finds the seals are badly worn, changes the seals, pump and sensor. Everything seems OK but after 10 miles on a road test the pressure falls off again

I have to trust the dealer on this - it's now their shilling and they are determined to find the cause of the problem except they can't. It must be something simple because the car has a full service history and no other problems. Anyone got any ideas?

When they replace the seals, did they notice any blockage from the pickup screen and up?
Are you experiencing any positive pressure from your engine breath system (PCV), ie, oil dipstick tube blows white smoke?

Hello, "Seals"= ? The oil pick-up O rings? The cam and main crankshaft seals? Were (are) there leaks? Too bad you're going on the warning message alone. "T" in a real gauge. A bit of a bother but then you could watch it through the 10 minute time frame you mentioned. Does the engine make oil starvation noises? Is it possible you have a wonky oil filter element? Kira
