What model did I buy?
Hi All,
Technically this should be in the new members posts, but I didn't think it would garner much attention.
I just bought a 1998 V70. It is burgundy with light grey leather, and pretty much a full load as far as options.
I did some internet research before I bought it, and I have no definitive answer about what model it is.
According to Auto Consumer Guide, only base and T5 wagons came with a 5 speed manual transmission. XC70's are the AWD model.
Well, this is a turbocharged, AWD, 5 speed manual.
Is it an XC? T5?
Thanks for any help you can offer, and greetings from Canada on my first post!!!!!!!!!!!!

Volvo Canada imported 25 manual transmission AWD V70's in 1997 and 1998. They were imported as training cars for Volvo Cars of North America, then sold to the public (only in Canada) after about a year.
I had a black one and although I really enjoyed the drive, it was in the shop with many different problems during the entire time I owned it. They are to this day the only Volvo low pressure turbos ever sold with manual transmissions in North America.
