What should I consider?
I need a new-er car. My 850 wagon is on it's last wheel (200,000 miles). I have owned a lot of Volvos in my life (P-1800, 140, 240, 740, 760, S40, 850), so I understand Volvo. I am coming into about $30,000 for a car...I don't mind 'pre-owned'. My criteria: Wagon, comfort, quiet, mpg, regular fuel, reliable... Am I being short-sighted? Are there now 'other vehicles' to consider: Subaru Outback, Honda, Toyota, BMW wagon (not SUV)? Thoughts?
Mercedes has a "not a wagon" and "not a sport ute", guess a sort of crossover, that I'm impressed with. Forget the badge/model designation but it really reminds me of the newer volvo station wagon xc's. Third row seats, also.
