A few months ago I found the wipers running in intermittent whenever the ignition was on. I could switch to normal operation and I could adjust the interval time, but they would not stop when I set the switch to off. I took it to the dealer who verified that they were doing as I described but had no explanation or fix. After a few days passed, that stopped on its own and functioned properly until a few days ago. The problem has returned and even the rear wiper cycles occasionally just after engine start. I have an appointment for next week at the dealer. Has anyone else had such an incident and found the problem. The tech I spoke with this morning did verify that the control is through a module and not directly from the switch. Has anyone else had this problem and found an answer?
