I was at my dealership this morning and we discussed how a battery replacement affected the car's electronics. I was under the impression the electronics had to be reset to account for the new battery. The service rep told me that as long as no battery status lights were illuminated at the time of replacement that I didn't need to have the system reset (i.e. I could swap out the battery without consequence).

I've not heard this before. Can anyone reading this verify that this information is correct?
