Default Battery replacement: Reset needed?

"Low Battery" appeared on my dash and radio when I had the ignition on, but engine off. I guess I need a new battery (2006 XC90 15Kmiles) ? It still started up no problem.
If I replace the battery myself, will the dealer need to RESET any computerized gizmo's? Or is it a simple swap of batteries, then good to go?

thanks

Thanks Tech,
1) Is the "Low Battery" light a warning to get a new battery? Or was I just draining it temporarily with Ignition ON, engine OFF (I was programming my aftermarket GPS).

2)Any suggestions on who makes a battery to fit my XC90?
Couldn't find any direct replacements, but I guess I can just find one with similar CCA's and size.

Thanks again
Mike

Well, your radio/cd player will not work. You can that the reset code from the dealer. The dealer will need your VIN number.

That does not apply with this model. Actually, most 2001 and up models do not need radio codes anymore.

Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum so please bare with me...
I wonder if it is possible to reprogram an after market remote and it yes how.
I presented the new remote to the dealers technician and they told me that they would need a serial number whearas on the Internet the seller insists that it doesn't.
It is a pain not having the remote key especially when you have got used to it.
Please help. You can also be kindly reply to me email 1iraniebidar@gmail.com
Tnx,
Alireza
