S80 battery replacement leads to new air bag!
I have a 2000 S80 that needed a new battery. After it was replaced the SRS error light was on. I took it to the dealership and they accessed it and tried to reset it. However, they said there were TWO error codes in the computer. One for the battery reset and one for an error with the driver seat side air bag. They said this now needs to be replaced at a cost of $975. This all happened right after replacing the battery. Assuming I ever replace my battery again, is there anything I can do to protect against this happening?
Also, is this just a computer chip I can buy and replace myself?

RE: S80 battery replacement leads to new air bag!
They did reset the code for the initial 'loss of communication' error, however the fault in the driver side air bag is real (and according to them, coincidental). I don't believe in coincidences and believe its related to the battery replacement. Can I replace this myself? Does anyone know where I can get service manuals?
