XC40 Recharge Surges Forward in Reverse on a Decline
I am the new lessor of a 2024 Volvo XC40 Recharge Twin Ultimate and have noticed a strange and rather annoying tendency with my car when in reverse on a decline,
For example, I park my car in my driveway which has about a 20% decline grade. When wanting to pull out of my driveway, I press down on the brakes and then put the car in reverse. When I let go of the brakes, and while the car is still in reverse, the car surges forward 6-12 inches before either I hit the brakes again to make it stop, or perhaps when the car automatically brakes (?) since it's in reverse? In my opinion, and with my experience in other cars, when putting the car in reverse, it should not surge forward.
Has anyone else in the XC40 recharge or XC40 gas model seen this occur?
