2009 xc60 squeaking noise when moving forward
Yesterday my 2009 Volvo XC60 was running perfectly, but today as I was moving forward with it, a really loud squeaking noise came from the front. Only when moving forward, it also can not be the breaks because I tested them and they are not the ones that are making the noise. In reverse when moving the car does not give any sounds. it is a AWD 2,4 l diesel.
What could it be? Maybe the front drivetrain?

Brakes or bearing are the most likely cause. Yes, it could still be the brakes.
There could also be dirt or some kind of foreign debris in the brakes between the pads and disk that only make a noise in one direction. That would be the easiest thing to check and fix before doing more expensive diagnostics.

I hope that's all it is and is an easy and cheap repair for you. Good luck!
I've had that happen on several cars of mine. The fix was to take apart the brakes, clean them and then put them back together. Sometimes the hydraulic cylinders on the calipers gets "stuck" and it also needs to be taken part and cleaned. A little more expensive, but still cheaper than new calipers and cylinders.
