2010 XC60 - AC works for only 10 min
If you have the 6 cyl engine - That engine has a variable displacement compressor. Displacement is controlled by a valve - that usually has the opposite problem, as in takes a longer time to cool. A good first step would be to measure the AC pressures under both conditions.
not sure if its the same for the newer compressor designs but on the older models, this could be caused by the compressor clutch gap being too wide (again older models, .3mm is optimal, when it gets over .8mm it will start to slip, overheat then fail).. You may want to google for specs on your model/year to see if that's also a common issue and whether the clutch can be reshimmed. (sorry never owned a Volvo as new as a 2010 lol )
