Default How cold is xc60 AC?

I'm a menopausal woman living in sweltering Texas summers that last 8 months. No garage, so car sits in blazing sun all the time. I know GM vehicles, Toyota/Lexus vehicles, and Rolls Royce have excellent AC that gets cold fast, keeps the vehicle cool without having the fans on max constantly, and the ventilated seats actual cool down. How does Volvo compare? It's my number one consideration for a new car, but I like the Volvo looks more than others. Can it keep up?

Default AirCon

The AC air is really good and cold, however I find that the fan speed has a mind of its on. Sometimes I have to go into the AC and adjust the speed.

So you mean when it is on auto? I don't mind having to adjust it if it keeps it cold. Do you have to run it on max to keep it cold? What part of the country do you live?

I live in TN. I find sometimes in the summer when it is very hot the fan will not go to full speed in auto and I have to do it manually, even if it is over 90F. Doesn’t happen a lot but it does happen. On the other hand when it is cold outside the fan acts abnormal. For example this morning it was 42F. Got in the car, temp set at 70F. For the life of me I couldn’t find where the hot air was coming from. It wasn’t coming out of the vents or the floor, ( where heat should come from). I checked the fan speed and it was at 4, one speed below 5, the fastest speed. I double checked again at the floor and the vents in the dash and barely felt any air in the vents and absolutely no air coming from the floor. But the fan was almost at the highest speed. Oddly enough during my drive the temperature was comfortable inside the car. I know this can’t be normal, but it is such a pain in the *** to set up an appointment and wait 3 weeks to take it to the dealership.

Does the air coming out of the vents get cold enough to make the ventilated seats feel cool to the touch? That's key for me. I don't mind having to manually change my fan speed.
