On my 2010 XC60 that I hit a cow with and repaired, I just got back from a long trip and it’s dead at the airport. I’m hoping it’s the key fob. But here is the possible issue.
I had to replace the drivers door and the ignition fob key isn’t the same, I’m guessing, as the replacement door. As a matter of fact the old door has a keyhole on the handle and the replacement doesn’t. I simply hadn’t got that far in the repair.
IF it’s a dead battery, how can I get in the car without breaking glass or bending the door frame?
Call a locksmith, (that opens locked cars) they will have a tool that moves the door frame out (some are inflatable bags) and will be able to use a long tool to open the door.
