I have a 1 week old 2012 XC 60 R design and last night I got in it and got a message that it couldn't locate a key even though it was in my pocket. Has anyone else had this problem? It hasn't done it since, but it makes me a bit concerned.

 

I had the same issues a few times already with my 2012 xc60 , I'm not sure why it does it but if you restart the car it works again. That's one of my questions to ask the dealer at my first service. I'm not too thrilled with the throttle response , for oer 300 hp it sure hesitates for a second when you first lay into it I find.

 

Trnetz, is it possible that the battery is bad in the fob? How are you liking your R design? I'm contemplating on getting one if I come across a sick 2012 leftover deal.

 

I just purchased a 2013 R-Design, and love it. I have had the same "can't locate key issue". The distance on the remote also seems a little short. what are people's experience for how far away they can unlock the doors and such with the buttons on the remote?

I am wondering if I have a battery problem in my remote.
