Exclamation 2012 XC60 - Accelerator issue

Hi all,
Just bought a new 2012 XC60. When I start up the car and first press on the accelerator it has this pulsating vibration that lasts a second or so. (It is not related to the Park break, as it does it regardless of having been on or not) Anyone else experience this? It does not happen any other time, only after start up. Dealers says it is normal, but I have my doubts.

I've never had an issue like yours , I would say its not normal. I would get them to check it at first service. Do you notice extremely slow throttle response by chance ?

Figured it out! I did go to the dealer and read then also read manual (all there). It is a self test check for the ABS breaks. On these cars one has to press on the break before you can turn it on. If one lets go off the break as soon as one turns it on, you hear the self-test. If one doesn't let go of the break right away, then when when pressing on the accelerator one feels / hears the vibration of the self test. All normal.

This is the same for my 2013 xc60. I managed to test the self abs diagnostic check at startup (by releasing the brake very soon), and also at 6mph (by not releasing the brake very soon at startup). Very consistent.

So the question is:
When is it preferable to have the abs do its self check? At startup, or at 6mph. Personally I find it a bit unusual to remove my foot from the brake so quickly to allow the abs check to do its thing on startup. Perhaps it's just me not being used to a push to start vehicle?

Any opinions would be appreciated.
