2013 S60 windshield wipers design
I grew up riding in my mother's two volvo wagons, and (personally) I'm on my 2nd volvo which is a 2013 S60. During my first winter storm with this car, I went outside to flip the windshield wipers 'up' so I can dust off in the morning easier. But the driver's side wiper collides with the upper edge of the hood and it won't stand on it's own. I turned the car on, toggled the wipers, and killed the engine in mid-wipe and only then could I stand both 'up'. The next morning there's 4" of fine powder. Before scraping, I jump into my car to have it warm up. The windshield wipers are still on, so the driver's side wiper collides with the upper edge of the hood, flips down on it's own onto the windshield, then throws all the snow off the side of the car with half of it accumulating on the inside of my slightly ajar driver's door.
Am I missing something with these wipers and how to stand them 'up'? (The simpler answer.) Or did Volvo miss something during this redesign for the 2013's? Not winter friendly?
Thanks,
2013 S60 2.5t FWD
