My new 2023 XC60 hood is just bare painted metal with no underhood insulation. Is this normal or did someone at the factory "forgot" to install it?
I do see it as an option to purchase from the dealership:

Our 2022 XC60 B6 Inscription came with the under hood insulation. So maybe a supply chain issue or cost reduction for 2023?

 

Will take it up to the service advisor next time I go. All the cars I own over the last 20 years have underhood insulation. It would be a rather peculiar cost cutting strategy to skp that. The underhood insulation is not even listed as an option when ordering the car. Wonder why it's an available accessory part at the dealership.
